Paul Dempsey's Story
In July 2019, Paul Dempsey was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bowel cancer and suddenly passed due to the illness. Paul was adored by all of his family and friends and was a prominent figure within the family. He introduced football to everyone around him as it played such a big part in his life and brought so many memories (the good and bad) and joy to him, also rubbing off on others around him. So what better way to raise awareness and pay tribute so such a great man, than to host a football match in his honour, between his family and friends with local charities benefiting also.
